Michael Fortes - "Apart On Valentine's Day" (KC Turner Songwriting Club assignment #17)

My submission for the 17th assignment in the KC Turner Songwriting Club. Lyrics: Whispering trees Wind in the night Rustling leaves Feathers and flight High from above Point to the ground "Tear them apart" It matters not what they say Done is done It has all been arranged Severing ties Not heart but of mind Though you may bleed It's blood that binds High from above Cries show the way To stories told Old as the sound of Two lovers apart On Valentine's Day Which one has gone Which one has stayed And yet we know We two have swayed Carrying on New flowers bloom High from above They always knew. ©2011 Michael Fortes.
